It's seems that the owner and developper of this website doesn't like BCL, SWL and MwDx.
What a damn.

There are others portals such as http://rx.linkfanel.net/
and you can always access the rxers directly.

Great! Thank you, Stuart: it's a very wide choice of rxs: some of them were before into sdr.hu.
I am going to spend some time listening to some exotic MW bands and dreaming about the possibility of being in that places.....
+++++++++++
Let me explain the reason of my irritation towards the guy who owns sdr.hu.
I am not arguing about his right to do what he wants with his website, but limiting the access to OM only seems the worst way to do it.
The last times I've accessed sdr.hu I've seen that most of the slots were occupied by people who was connected to the same receiver for 3-4-5 hours in a row.
Do you want to limit the accesses to your site? Ask registration for each user! Put a daily limit of the time that each one can spend into your site!

sdr.hu is just a portal - when you click on the rxer location you leave the site and go directly to the rxer site. Some kiwi owners do put time limits on usage with timeouts etc. The additional support for DRM has made things worse as DRM support means only 1 user can use the device at any one time - instead of 4 with usual analogue modes.
The link I posted is the portal I use - there are at least 2/3 others available.
I also think the guy who developed the OpenWebRX software used has stopped future development. I believe he was Hungarian so probably the two are connected.

Thank you Stuart, everything is definitely clear now.satnipper wrote: ↑22 Mar 2020 19:18Useful link to understand situation and details of alternative portals:

I've also read that the Hungarian guy is now living and working in Belgium; probably that's the reason why he have choosed to slow down into his involing with sdr.hu.
So, i am glad that it's always possible to listen to SDR'S around the world, through the other portals: I would have preferred if some of them have covered the whole spectrum until 108 MHz but, anyway, that's good enough.
