According this letter, AIR National Radio and five regional stations are closed, due budget cuttings.

No news from AIR GOS.

All India Radio total shutdown

Post by PFM907 » 04 Jan 2019 13:04

If this aint fake, this sounds serious to me.
Will there be no more public service radio at all???
If national plus regional are switched off, what (apart from GOS Shortwave) will remain?
In my opinion, the first step should be reduced power, shut down International Section, etc. but not to disable the whole company!

Will there ever be any way back? Similar things have been on-going in Greece and Israel before.

I hope I will still receive my QSL for 594 AM. Who knows if this signal will ever come back.
Maybe worth listening their shortwave outputs to observe which one is there and which not.

According my informations, there is big corruption, money-wasting, and too much employees in the comapany. Probably they will re-organize the whole public radio, like our public media (MTVA) in 2012.
