Hi !

I don't understand what the male voice says at the TOH ... Which station can it be ?
Recorded June 17th, at 2200 on 936 kHz.

A slightly better version, recorded using a wider filter : https://vocaroo.com/i/s0qHdlnRcgwm

Hi Peter,

My request refers to the man one can hear just before and during the beeps, not the spanish announcement you mention that comes later.

A pity to leave this one languishing and I can only offer a crumb of help. The male voice sounds like one of the announcers at All India Radio's national channel English service. Why AIR South would be transmitting the national channel at that time of night is a different matter.

Well perhaps that was a slightly useful suggestion that might prompt others to agree or otherwise.

I checked my toth recordings from the last couple of days. I don't hear the same as what you have Patrick, but I hear Iran, which dominates here in the evenings. Could it be that? The music at the very beginning of the clip sounds suspiciously like the kind of toth music Iran might play.

Thanks for your help, mates !
John : this one is from June, 17th. I re-checked this TOTH recording, and at 2156, I found this female voice : https://vocaroo.com/i/s0V3szKA5zE7
Maybe from the same station ?

In the second recording the female voice is speaking Farsi/ Azerbaijani, so Iran.

But in the first recording there is Iranian music running through it. Listen for the distinctive yodelling at 8 seconds. So the male announcer is something else.

The female certainly sounds like Iran, the music is "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd

Thank you all

The Pink Floyd track is from RNE Peter.
Thus, the other station is IRIB R. Markaze Azerbaijaneh Gharb.
No idea about the first extract (male voice) though.

Iran is UTC +3:30 so IRIB gives ID (with gong) at the bottom of each hour usually, not at the top.

I'd go for Iran.

BRILLIANT! :)

I have been following this on RealDX. It's sad to say but I think we have to admit to this, that even English people cannot recognise their own language. ;) ;) ;)

Well done those clever guys at RealDX for getting to the bottom of this.
