does 108.0 look this bad everywhere?

Post by Tim Bucknall » 03 Sep 2018 15:57

No this isn't 1470 medium wave overnight! it's 108mhz on a weekday, at least 5 of these are legitimate txs with stereo sidebands.
This doesn't even include the passing i-trips that pop up. Thanks Andy for IDing one of these as a Manchester pirate, that's the lower of the 2 Very close blue traces.
What must it look like in a big city like London?

some TV set-top boxes / DVD players etc radiate carriers on 108.0 (and other multiples of 27.0MHz), if any unmodulated carriers are received on 108.0, look nearby!
