After an unusually quiet dawn, activity is picking up now.
I'm monitoring and recording 106.7

Hi Tim.

It's not been particularly eventful so far. I didn't even bother recording last night.

The peak is expected to be tomorrow (Monday) into Tuesday, so let's hope for a good one.

The IMO (imo.net) gives a broad peak from 2018 August 12, 20h to August 13, 08h UT. An additional peak may occur August 12 around 20h UT due to a possible encounter with a Perseid filament.

I've also seen a peak given as 13th Aug at 00:55 UT

I haven't seen mention of a 13th/14th Aug peak except on here.

I can't remember where I read this, but the 14th was given as the peak by one source. Other sources said the 13th, hence me mentioning 13th/14th.

Still nothing much happening here.

As usual, almost nothing here, except a few short pings, far too weak to get a PI decoding or even to understand the spoken language. Needless to say it's quite frustrating ... From a visual point of view, only 5 meteors seen within about 30 minutes (announced ZHR was 60).

Was H or V polar' better for you ?

i used H pol out of habit and because i was also recording a romanian pirate and going H was the only way to null co channel stations
i have continuous weak scatter from 00:30

countries so far: Poland, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Italy and a tentative mega weak BBC World service id on 87.6 from god knows where

Just started going through my overnight files. Plenty of regular pings and longer bursts in the first 20 minutes. I am yet to find anything spectacular, but here is a lucky ID from a low powered German station, Radio SA from Fichtelberg.

https://youtu.be/otCEK_mH9AA

I won't have time to check any more files until later. Might have a free slot around lunchtime.

Good DX!

Thanks for the upload Tim. Don't you have a better one?
I don't know how you ID MS from clips like that one.
