John, Not very clear, but I think that there is a Provincia ID at 04:00 on 1270. It has been around in the summer, but I don't recall the offset.
Thanks Simon.

It has a last fling around 0400 but it's just too weak. The offset looks right for Radio Provincia.

Something going on on 790 here. A YL talking much earlier but impossible to hear. Splatter is VERY bad on 790 here.

Carriers appearing at 789.9980 and 790.0000 and the YL was on the latter offset.

Fade-out before 0400 on 790.
I've just had another listen and it is Radio Minuto, Venezuela. at 04:07'47 I have "en Radio Minuto" and then a slogan with Minuto in it.

A new one for me.

Aha! A nice surprise! Sadly, too weak here at the crucial time. Thanks anyway.

Recorded overnight last two nights in western Scouselands on Wellbrook Loop and sweet f.a. for either NA or LA dx.

Is it me or have conditions gone Peter Tong?

Last night actually saw an increase in North American signals here for a time. I noticed 1400 CBG was audible before local midnight, which surprised me. I was expecting a lot more because of this, but TA signals then dipped down shortly after this. Even so, 1540 KXEL Waterloo IA was there after 0300. The unidentified oldies station was still present on 1490, though not as good as on recent mornings. A Spanish station appeared at 0254 on 1350, probably Buenos Aires. So it was still all to play for, but perhaps not as good as recent mornings.

Signals from the far east had also dipped down the previous evening.

I will take a rest from MW DXing while the Perseids are upon us. There has been a lot of meteor scatter on FM lately.

Woke up by thunder and lightning off the coast at 0315. Unplugged everything.
