maybe there's a delay between FM and stream
yes there is. in fact, the difference is almost one minute or more. I have observed that in the past and it gave me enough time to
1. record local news jingle at :30 from FM
2. switch cable from portable FM radio to network
3. record local news jingle at :31 from another P4 version on the web

:)

plus: at daytime different schedule for many hours between the ~ 10 local P4 versions

congrats on the low power tx. worth to try out 91,7 / 95,0 / 96,0 / 97,1 Hamburg

No I listened to it and it's DR P4 from Rangstrup. The announcement is in Danish. The first bit means 'night radio' and the last bit 'four' so a bit of a giveaway.

I had SR P1 on 87.7 from Halmstad last night, the best distance during this tropo at 1116 km. The best DX though was Delta Radio on 93.4 from Hamburg at 809 km, which is listed with just 63 watts. The first good tropo of 2018 has been a lot better than I expected!
That's a great DX Nick. Many congrats! I think I end up on the edge of the duct as I haven't got any station with RDS. Other DXer did a lot better. All my catches were very weak and without SDR it would be impossible to receive them. From yesterday's tropo, In terms of distance, the longest catch was 101.80 NDR Info from Helpterberg (952 km). In terms of power, the longest DX I received was 101.80 MDR Aktuell from Bad Lobenstein/Geiersberg 0.5kW@ 842. I also have some unid signals, but I need to find these in the SDR recording files. I only used SDR.

I only have about an hour and a half DX today in the morning, but still some decent catches with an indoor antenna. 97.80 NDR 1 Welle Nord from Bungsberg/NDR-Mast @781 km is the longest catch.
Thanks Zach. Here's a recording of Delta Radio on 93.4 from Hamburg, apparently with only 63 watts:

There are lots of recordings to go through!

BTW I suspect your 'NDR Info' on 101.8 may be Deutschlandfunk from Aurich, as that was what I logged here.
Good DX.

That's Radio NL from Rotterdam. 18 kW. A pest here.

I don't recognise that part of the beach as being in Skegness. Where were you? Chapel St Leonards?

Ah! Chapel St Leonards is not Skegness. It's eight miles north of Skegness and t'other side of Ingoldmells, which is also not Skegness, though the holidaymakers say it is. There's a bit of cliff at Chapel, or slightly higher sea defences, whichever way you want to look at it. Very good for the continent. I hope you partook of the liquid refreshments at the Admiral Benbow. ;) (A proper little real ale pub, right on the beach!)

I'm really surprised you didn't get anything else. Was this in the post-tropo flat period? You should have had German transmitters too. Perhaps just unlucky timing.

The second video posted after the Radio NL 97.6 one is German on 103.5, perhaps Deutschlandfunk from Torfhaus.
Good DX.

Hi, the station on 103,5 has a very typical deutschlandfunk programme, i think it must be them via torfhaus, many stations from that german region were heard in the UK in this tropo session. if you have the exact time, I may check the DLF px-files to confirm. Very nice catch!

Hi Nick. I remember exactly that DLF stream doesn't match what I was hearing and I was surprised it is NDR Info when I played their stream. I am 100% sure it's NDR Info.

attached some QSL which I have received for the strong tropo ducting around 16 / 17 May.
surprisingly, RTL is still using the cards dating back to the 80s and showing Marnach transmission site that has been shut down some time ago.
