Platformb - Brighton
Just noticed a very potent signal on 105.5 here, certainly doesn't sound like your typical pirate station, stereo with rds and radio text

I don't know what CR is but LPAM means AM only, this is FM of course and ofcom don't licence low power FM stations afaik...has to be a pirate imo....Code South was hogging 105.6 but the frequent occurrence of France Info perhaps forced them off air lol

It's not a pirate. It's a community station:

Sounds to me like it'll be well worth a listen.

Er no it's dire, a complete waste of bandwidth imo. Juice was great very local etc for many years but it was bought up by capital a few months back so now a clone of all the others just like all the heart 'stations, awfulNick Gilly wrote: ↑09 Oct 2018 19:37It's not a pirate. No. Code South is a pirate.
As for a waste of bandwidth, I coulldn't disagree more. Platform B is currently playing Afro disco/funk as I type this. Where on Heart/Smooth/Capital/More Radio would you hear this?

Re: Platformb - Brighton
Sorry auto correct changed lpfm to lpam.
ofcom do license low power FM stations for certain buildings
See soundart radio etc
CR = community radio
Seems like a station offering something new as nick says , all the cr stations here are clones of 90s ILR, playing high school hits, guess the year etc etc
