Re: The Conditions Thread
My 1490 is probably WBAE, but need to check the top of the hour ID on their web stream. Thanks to Paul Crankshaw/RealDX for this, It does sound like WBAE but it's unclear.

Re: The Conditions Thread
ESPN Sports 1350 at 0058. Probably KRNT. Not a new one here, but of more interest to me is WHO 1040 Des Monies. I'm sure I have it but there's so much sploise across the midle of MW here. (splatter and noise!
)

Re: The Conditions Thread
John,
I think I have 1040 WHO at 02.00. Not a clear ID but talk of heavy snow in central Iowa, mostly around Highway 34. It would be a PF for me if I could hear an ID.

Re: The Conditions Thread
There's no question that's WHO Rob. Nice one! WHO is never an easy one for some reason. KRNT 1350 is more likely.
I have 1500 KSTP St Paul MN at 2315. ID and ESPN sports ID.

Re: The Conditions Thread
Looks like a grab from the Elad FDM-S2 to me.
Re: The Conditions Thread
Yes, Elad fdms2.
Re: The Conditions Thread
Anybody else get the strongish Brazilian on 1350 around 0530 ? It sounded religious, lots of mentions of Salvador which could be Super Rede Boa Vontade, Salvador, but just as likely to be Saviour in Portuguese. No ID heard by me.

Re: The Conditions Thread
Yes, just checked. I had overlooked 1350.
It was earlier here, started with a religious song at 0256, then OM in Portuguese. Apparent ID 0259:50. Too weak to be useful. There may be a couple of very weak IDs in this short video - it's just a live tuning session in Jaguar while running an Extended Scan on 1350. Maybe of use?

Re: The Conditions Thread
Does anybody know who signed off at 23:30 on 1510 yesterday morning (12th)?

I've had this a few times recently, but cannot nail it. I suspect it could be WRRD, but nothing to go on.

Re: The Conditions Thread
I'm even hearing audio down on 530, 550 and 560 this morning.
I have managed to get rid of about 50% of my general noise now. I cannot do anything about the bigger noise bursts, but I can dig into a lot more channels now. Directivity is compromised as I brought my flag verticals MUCH closer together to achieve this. They are now 15 feet apart instead of the recommended 25 feet, so it's another compromise. It's helped a few frequencies enormously.

Re: The Conditions Thread
Finally caught a nice ID from WSCR Chicago IL on 670. I find this one to be one of the most difficult Chicago stations to hear.

Re: The Conditions Thread
The 1350 station could have been the same one - Similar offset.
I got your 1510 station closing down several nights before you looking back, but not on the 12th. 9th was the strongest, but still no audio.
There was the weakest, totally unintelligible audio on 530 this morning here. I suppose Cuba is the most likely ? Falklands would be nice !
670 is usually dominated by Cuba here, but WCSR did come up just after 0500 and just before the Cuban National Anthem !
