Unid from 15 Jun 2018 - reposted

This should be the right file - the cursor slipped down a line on the file list

https://app.box.com/s/cy48vgukogeipoxe3snzgm1ggofip4mc

Re-listening to the file there are two stations to start with - then the id from one of them - after that other stations appear. The id sounds more like Kruskid Radio this time round.

Thanks

David

Hi Dave.

You have two Turkish stations dominating, including the one with the ID. There's also a Balkan on there too. I can't really match the ID with anything though. Probably best to email the clip to Kurt Zscherp. He has been very helpful in IDing UNID Turkish stations for me.
Good DX.

The main music at the beginning is this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPCzZuMR8eY

Some of the YouTube links, including this one, refer to "Kral" and "KralPop". I see there are several outlets of this station on 92.0. Kirklareli-Demirköy and Istanbul are the higher powered ones. A total long-shot, but maybe useful to know. Does this therefore point to KralPop?

Pity Shazam doesn't identify presenters.

the ID sounds sth like "Dashkin Radyo" or "Dashkit Radio" at least it is not pronounced in a russian / ukrainian way, more turkish / azerbaijan / persian influenced
the way the "R" in the world "Radio" / "Radyo" is rolled leads to a very strong dialect, either Caucasian / Black sea or Balkans (might be albanian native speaker from the N/Eastern mountain parts or Sth Kosova area).

I am not quite sure if this ID is really the name of the station or rather a name of a show or a claim (maybe translated into sthl like "Your radio")

John,
Istanbul would be a logical choice as I got a whole bunch on the I?Q file at that time.

KRAL FM uses sometimes a slogan "İlaç Gibi Radyo". Perhaps he said : "İlaç Gibi Radyo".

That sounds like a match to me. So it must be KRAL FM from Istanbul.

It makes sense as I had Istanbul in here for maybe 11 or 12 minutes.

I copied "İlaç Gibi Radyo" into Google Translate and it comes out as "Drug-like Radio". Then I got Google to say it - in a female voice - and compared it to the deep male voice on the clip. I agree - 110% match. It is so much easier when you have something to compare it to. So another one from Istanbul - making eight in all in the same 4 minute period, and almost certainly Damla FM was the unid turkish/eastern music on 87.5.

Thanks for everyone's help.
