Sporadic-e received in Spain unidentified

Post by manueljbaeza » 01 Jun 2018 18:58

Hi,

anyone can help me identify this sporadic-e DX? the fm is increasingly saturated in Spain between pirated signals and signals from licensed companies that fail parameters: power, locations, excessive modulation, etc.

The same moment I can receive SR P2 92.4 from Sverige:

Hi Manuel. On your second lot of clips, the last one on 92.4 is German, but I'd be guessing as to what it is. It might be RBB Kulturradio from Berlin as it sounds like a 'serious' cultural-style announcement.
Good DX.

Thanks Nick Gilly!

I tried to listen to the streaming but the sporadic bursts were very short, so it was very difficult to compare between both signals. It is very likely that 92.4 is that, so little I could hear, although I had some doubts.

I hear "Berliner SPD" , so you could well be correct.

On your clip of 89,9 I hear a german announcement from 1:50 onwards, 89,9 NDR Kultur Torfhaus could be likely?

regarding yours 107.7, there is a little doubt concerning the location. seems pretty off-way from the others. I see Hanau would be an option, too. do you think from your experience, CUX is possible? I guess so, at least it is the most powerful tx.

however, 92.5 I do not think it was the strongest one (Innsbruck) which is almost only beaming NW and is more remote. Schärding is not far away from Cesky Krumlov that you also had and is pretty high. it reaches far into upper/lower Bavaria.

during this episode I was able to capture several from the Czech Republic, so I suppose they can be from that area. Many times I attribute the location of the most powerful transmitter, although I'm not always sure it's the right one. This is the logbook: https://www.fmlist.org/fm_logmap.php?da ... &omid=2775

From Italy:

Local adverts from Vallo Di Diana and Prato Perillo, province Salerno, monte appennini, but in FMList only show 93.1 RAI Radio 3.

Ola Manuel,

Vallo di Diano is a large valley between Campania and Basilicata. In your recording you can hear adv of Mobili Trezza https://it-it.facebook.com/Mobili-Trezz ... 321702336/ and Centro Commerciale Diano http://www.centrocommercialediano.com/

The local radio of that valley is Radio Alfa, located in Teggiano but with a plenty of frequencies into the whole Province of Salerno.
They broadcast on 93.0 from Montesano della Marcellana and I am sure that they haven't switched to 93.1 from that outlet.
Does they have a new outlet broadcasting on 93.1?
Or was their signal so strong to listen to it on 93.1 while they broadcast on 93.0 and despite the bandwidth of your receiver?

I only know that I am listening now to Radio Alfa through streaming, and one minute ago I have listened to the same Mobili Trezza adv. :D

I think it's 93.1, given that in 93.0 I have no sign, although one in 92.9 from Andújar, about 50 km. Moreover, I was very surprised to see how it covered almost completely the 93.1 signal of Canal Fiesta, from Zújar, about 75 km from my QTH and with about 5 kW (PRA). I think, almost certainly, that the signal received was at 93.1. I do not know if they will have put a new transmitter in the area or they will have moved another frequency that they already had in operation.

Thank you very much for your help.

As a frequent/regular listener of FM4 :D , I take the liberty to suggest a slight correction.
The broadcast on air every Sunday morning from 10 to 13 is Sunny Side Up with John Megill.

The song recorded in Manuel's video is Crazy (Noze rmx) by Ornette (obviously I wouldn't know that without consulting Fm4's podcasting ).
