Unid 90 Mhz French ears needed

Post by zach_m » 04 Sep 2017 20:42

Hi,

This one is for our French speaking colleagues ;) Reception from 02 July at 1713 UTC. It could be fading ID in the recording, but I don't understand. A very brief skip.

More Es unids on my website here: http://fmdx.bplaced.net/sporadic/spe17.html

If you have any clue, please let me know.

Happy DX!

Hello Zach,

I listened to the UNIDS posted in your website (I started with the Italian ones), and I've found some clues.

June 8th: 87.6 is very likely Rai Radio 1 (no Ids but the format of the broadcast recorded fits with the schedule of Radio 1).
But in the very last seconds of the recording you can hear another station mixing with it (a OM speaking, but with no Ids): it might be Radio 24?
87.5 is for sure Radio Italia (you can hear, after 17", a clear reference to "Radio italia Live", the summery event of that radio).

June 16th: 88.5 it's a Roumanian station, not Italian. No clear Ids listened (maybe, somebody could recognize the speaker's voice).

June 20th: 87.6 is for sure Radio Capital (2 sts listed, but the one in Noto (Sr) is the most likely considering the other one stations you were listening at the same time). I recognised the voices of speakers and you can also hear clearly the number for SMS and Whatsapp messages.

June 26th: no clues for 88.1; it's a national news bulletin.

July 6th: 88.2 is undoubtedly Radio 24

July 18th: the two signals listened on 87.5 are really too weak and I can only suggest you a "tentative" Id.
The first one seems to be from Radio Italia (the voice of the spekers reminds me that, but I'm not sure), the second one, according to the theme of speech, could be Radio Maria.
No clues for 87.9 (only national adv).

I will try to listen to some other languages' Ids, but the first two I have listened gave me immediately an answer.
On 87.6 listened July 18th, you can hear after 3" a clear Id "Cadena Cope"
On 88.2 listened June 20th you can hear a very nice local Id "Sintonizan la Cadena Ser en la provincia de Almerìa"

Re: 87.6 Rai Radio 1, it must a low power TX, since I didn't receive the PI code. A half an hour later I received 87.6 Rai Radio 1 from Rocca Di Pappa (40kW TX) with the PI code. I'll update the station name on 87.6 from 1055 UTC, but location remain unknown. I was DXing live and, as far as I remember, Italian stations came on with a short mix of everything.

Re: 87.5 Radio Italia. Indeed there is an ID after 17sec of the recording. I missed this one. There are 2 TX's listed with 87.5. One in Camaiore (2kW) and second in Ercolano-Vesuvio (10kW), which I think this could be it. I'll tentatively update this one as R.Italia SoloMusicaItaliana from Ercolano-Vesuvio.

Re: 88.5 Romanian station. I apologize, it sounded Italian to me. After re-listening It sound like Romanian language. I will change ITU and remarks, but will remain as UNID.

Re: 87.6 Radio Capital. That's very Interesting. This is the only Italian station that I received this day. I will agree with you, since reception is very weak and previous station sounded Arabic. This is would be also my first station from Sicillia! I will update the log and add a link to this thread.

Re: 88.1. It will remain UNID, as it's obviously very hard to ID the station from 30 sec of recording without any clues.

Re: 87.5 from 16:18 UTC could be Radio Italia, as I have received this station previously. I will change the station name and location remain unknown.
Re: 87.5 from 17:25 UTC. Radio Maria was received 15 minutes later, so It could be an earlier-weaker skip or might be different TX? I will change the station name and, as above, the location remain unknown.

I'm 95% sure it is FGL. The jingles match though your recording seems to have a fade at the beginning of the FGL id so only GL is audible.

It's definitelly Radio RG from Annecy 2/Bélvedère de Jeanne. Here is a jingle I recorded from online stream today:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzU0xg ... 5aRWM/view

This is a short skip of 803km distance. TX rated at 0.50kW.

Thanks very much satnipper!

Hello Zach,
concerning 87.6 I was meaning the second one you've recorded that day (at 18:35), not the first one at 18:08 (I've listened to it and I haven't found nothing useful to identify it).
In the second one you can hear "Cadena Cope" after 4 or 5 seconds.

For 88.2 I am pretty sure it's SER Almeria. It's a local ID (as you probably know, some spanish radios like SER or COPE has local broadcasting several times in a day) and it really seems that you have catched the Id of a local broadcasting of SER Almeria.

holy cow, a lotta Unids U got over there. lets give it a try :)

one of the french stations are in fact not french at all.

87,6 "F" on 9-6-17 "dans un instand lese economies arabe" at 3 sec and "magazine economie des pays arabe" --> Radio Algerie Chaine 3, also mentioning few words in arabic, a typical mix of french and arabic spoken in Algeria

87,7 ""F" on 9-6-17 with ad jingle at 27 sec. and another jingle at 45 sec., the female presenter mentions an arabic name "et Mathias Renard... presenté par..." another arabic name ...the latter men speaks arabic from 51 sec. --> Algeria!

87,6 "E" on 9-6-17 talking about "El diario de mi María José", talk format, these reports can be heard again throughout their website --> Cadena COPE ! (you were right Zach)

87,7 "Balkans" on 9-6-17 is actually portuguese language --> RDP Antena Un, sports (??) jingle at 18 sec.

88,5 ROU on 9-6-17 , no ID but clear news bumper jingle at 19 sec., also weather jingle at 1:07 which can be found back here at the end https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVeOt5pDPFQ --> DIGI FM Reshitsa 88,5 FM

92,2 "BUL" on 16-6-17 language is bulgarian, no ID but Bulgaria is mentioned two times around 42 and 48 seconds plus 1:07 min, program contents fits --> Hristo Botev, Botev mount (only BUL listed!)

95,3 "Balkans" 16-6-17 saying "novinka country rock ... it is no typical sth slavic language to me. sounds more like Slovakian with HU accent

87,8 "Balkans" 16-6-17 seems to be from BIH / SRB or sth. , typical Balkans music. did you try Slovenia they have 9...PI codes, try to find out the name of the song with Shazam, Itunes or sth.

90,1 "Balkans" 16-6-17 is public state radio RTS Radio Beograd, I know the female speaker's voice from having her heard (and being identified) myself. mentions Srbija at 16 sec. and 25 sec. and 36 sec. and 1:12min.

97,2 "Radio 24" 16-6-17 is for sure high power tx Mte. Asino 30 km sth of Lecce. high mnt. range. the other 2 tx are listed near Genova, that is way too far north !!

99,9 "Balkans" 16-6-17 mentions Irena Marusic from Tehniski muzej Slovenije so this must have been Val 202 from Kum which is actually a youth station but the only SVN tx listed for this QRG, mentions also "ljubljane"

87,6 "E" 18-6-17 is labled 87,7 in the audio file ?! - frequency is unclear , was it 87.6 or 87.7

87,7 "E" 21-6-17 is not spanish but CATALAN language ("Benvinguts" - Welcome" 28 th june mentioned, also ads for bankia.es, Citroen) --> RAC 1

96,3 "E" 21-6-17 is in spanish but without local ID , hard to say which one it was because they also broadcast PX in spanish with jingles in Catalan on the CAT region frequencies

89,6 "ARAB" 21-6-17 Marocco would be my guess for this one

90,7 "E" 21-06-17 tent Onda Cero but no ID as audio is labelled 90,9 FM !??!?! was it 90.7 or 90.9

90,0 "E" 21-06-17 song about love and peace, rather Christian , tent. Peque radio - la radio primera infantil (childrens radio) but no ID

88,1 "E" 21-06-17 is not public service but rather Onda Cero -talk radio. there is NO local ads or promo on RNE 2 Clasica !!! they also do not have these many-guys-blabla bla debates on RNE 2 Clasica

88,6 "E" 21-06-17 music is Rudimental feat Ed Sheeran - lay it all on me (Sultan & Shephard rmx) , might be Universo FM Huelva but unsure

104,2 "TUR" 26-6-17 my guess would be Istanbul

88,1 "Zitouna" 26-6-17 is Tunisia, splash from Zitouna from 88,0 FM

87,8 "E" 26-6-17 is Cadena SER with local programmation. ID "Radio Villena" at 25 sec.

88,2 "E " 16-7-17 is not Catalan but spanish, ID "Radio Nacional Radio cinco" at 18 sec. so this is RNE 5 TN Valencia

89,9 "E" 16-7-17 is tent RNE 5 TN Gijon but rather not Cope

87,7 "E " 18-7-17 is RNE 5 TN (clear ID Radio cinco todo noticias" at 14 sec- audio file is labeled 87,9 MHz so which one was it, 87,7 or 87, 9 ?? suppose the latter one as not listed for 87.7. then rather RNE 5 TN Valencian

No, I think this is splatter from Radio Tataouine in Tunisia. It's clearly off-channel and the Libyan on 87.5 has only ever had Quranic prayers and recitations whenever I've heard it, not music. This was also around the same time a suspected Tunisian was heard on 89.2 here.
Good DX.

In my opinion, both broadcastings seems more similar to the format of Médi 1 (from Morocco).
En fact, you can hear in the first recording two different references to a journalist called Mounia Belarbi, who works for Medi 1.
I've found the podcasting of the second part of Zach's recording (since 0:48) https://www.medi1.com/episode/le-rappor ... rs--152323#

Also the second recording seems to be from a Médi 1 broadcast: you can hear a reference to a broadcast of their (Planetoscope), and to one of their journalist (Mathias Reynal: https://www.medi1.com/auteur/matthias-r ... jahed-67/1 ).
But it seems that there is not any stations of Médi 1 broadcasting on 87.7: so, what? It's an unlisted frequency, or is this a splatter coming from 87.6?

Yes, i'ts a religious song; I think it's an Evangelical radio and, more than Peque Radio, I think that could be Radio Luz A Las Naciones.

But a certain identification seems very difficult to get.

I agree on the language.
On the same frequency there is also one station of RAC 1 (the one from Alpicat), but I am not able to understand if it's RAC 1 or Radio Tele Taxi.

Guys,
Thank you very much for all your imput. I am in a shock! It it so much Information that I need to go through. I've checked just a few recordings from PFM suggestions, but your're right. I heard Antena ID on 87,7 "Balkans" on 9-6-17. I will check missalabeled files and post here, but It will take some time. Good DX!

Edit:

I made a big mistake reagrding 90.0. It is not Radio FG. The jignle doesn't mach. This log remain as unid until someone solve it.

It's definitely 87.9 Mhz. That's how it's labeled the original file. Two TX listed for 87.9. One in Valencia (2kW), as you mentioned and seconde one in Cambil (60kW). I'll have to check wat was received nearby.
87,6 "E" 18-6-17 is labled 87,7 in the audio file ?! - frequency is unclear , was it 87.6 or 87.7
It's 87.7, as per original file.

Hello everybody, I listened yesterday to some other Zach's recordings, ad I want to add just some little remarks on the suggestions given by PFM.

87,9 "E " 20-6-17 is NOT spanish but CATALAN language --> RNE Ràdio quattra with programme Preferències , Mont Alpicat, Catalunya

87,7 "E" 21-6-17 is not spanish but CATALAN language ("Benvinguts" - Welcome" 28 th june mentioned, also ads for bankia.es, Citroen) --> RAC 1
I agree in both cases.

90,0 "E" 21-06-17 song about love and peace, rather Christian , tent. Peque radio - la radio primera infantil (childrens radio) but no ID
Yes, i'ts a religious song; I think it's an Evangelical radio and, more than Peque Radio, I think that could be Radio Luz A Las Naciones.

But a certain identification seems very difficult to get.

90,3 "E" 26-6-17 is NOT public service RNE Radio 5 (which would be in spanish) this is CATALAN language !!!! (ascoltas ...) tent Radio Tele Taxi
I agree on the language.
On the same frequency there is also one station of RAC 1 (the one from Alpicat), but I am not able to understand if it's RAC 1 or Radio Tele Taxi.

90,0 "F" -02-07-17 is NOT Radio FG (which is a Dance CHR station) would not play 80s music. but i do not know what it is, however it is not FG (forum mentions 91,1 but site mentions 90.0 FM !?!?!?) FG has english jingles not sung
I agree with your doubts; I think it's not Radio FG.
Franco,

09/06/2017 09:01 F 87.7 UNID - is originally labeled as 87.7, but it sounds like 87.6 Medi 1 from Morocco? A splatter? It will stay as unid I am afraid. Thanks for your clues, Franco. I appreciate it. I will update log with reference in a short time.

87,5 "ARAB" 20-06-17 Libya
No, I think this is splatter from Radio Tataouine in Tunisia. It's clearly off-channel and the Libyan on 87.5 has only ever had Quranic prayers and recitations whenever I've heard it, not music. This was also around the same time a suspected Tunisian was heard on 89.2 here.

Good point, I agree with you. The information I found back concerning the UNID from libya which had been a frequent catch in 2017 confirm that this must be some religious station with very low audio. so the modulation and the content do not fit. Tunesia might be the most logical option.

Very good work, I do totally agree with your facts. I was looking for MRC because I thought the content did fit more but I did not find any frequency that matches, neither in MRC nor in AOE (enter this as ITU for Western Sahara territory, occupied by Moroc). I also tried to google his name but did not have the right spelling, obviously. I confirm that this must have been some splash by 87.6 FM so both would be Médi1. Médi 1 is btw also relayed within France and afaik in Lebanon, too. At least it has been in the past.

Radio Luz was my first attempt in that case too but I do not know this station and also the website did not make very clear (salvador.com) that this is exactly the station from Spain he has been caught. So I was very unsure about this log but I agree with you.

The other information given by you is correct. Thanks for corrections. I was a bit in a hurry and it was MANY of them unids ;) sorry for that.

I still keep on searching for the mysterios FG station

Hi,

This one is for our French speaking colleagues ;) Reception from 02 July at 1713 UTC. It could be fading ID in the recording, but I don't understand. A very brief skip.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzU0xg ... FHYzQ/view

After having listened to it again, the jingle sounds very similar to those produced by http://www.freewaymusic.com/jingles/
(very good sung jingles in both french and english for 4 decades now, having produced for all of the big nation-wide networks)

I have contacted the Costa brothers who produce these packages, let's wait and see if or what they can tell me about the jingle.
Even if it's not their own work, they may know the producer or even the name of the radio station. Hope to get an answer soon.

A jingle with frequency 100,2 in some place of a name ending with "-ence".
"(...)ence sur cent point deux".
="(...)ence sur 100,2"

A relay of 100,2 // 90,0?

This is approximately what I am hearing:

"Commencent-ils sont de la ville - en deux L"

This is not 100% correct at all. The beginning is hard to work out as well as the 3 letters at the end.
