Unidentified German 102.9

Post by John Faulkner, Skegness » 21 Aug 2017 10:55

I posted this to RealDX but forgot to post here. It's an unidentified German (or Germanic language) station on 102.9, received at 1844 on June 18th. I am hoping there is enough speech to reveal a clue or two. My immediate assumption was that would be Austria, but I can only see KRONEHIT and FM4 listed on 102.9. Or maybe this is a station from NE Italy carrying a similar language such as Ladin. It's too 'tame' to be KRONEHIT or FM4.

A second German can be heard at the beginning of the recording too. Maybe that is one of the listed KRONEHIT outlets, but I doubt there are any clues in that brief snippet of audio.

The band was open to Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Hungary and Bosnia at this time.

Thanks if anybody can translate.

yes its two stations one of them could be clearly identified as FM4.

one with ads (shout out) or live sports (Bundesliga reporter) "Die letzten zwei Wochen" or "Die letzten zwei Minuten" ..."Vierzigtausend nur"... is German German.

the other one talking about "Wir hören jetzt das Stück REGATTA DE BLANC" sounds like Austrian German.
style does fit to FM4.ORF.AT and he also mentions that this song is a request ("Ein Wunsch von ....von SANS SECOURS"). the day was a Sunday.

FM4 has request shows on Sunday (starting 1800 UTC)
http://fm4v3.orf.at/radio/stories/fm4zimmerservice

FM 4 has music specials without music beds beneath talk, sometimes voicetrack pre-productions and VERY slow talk, very traditional presentation....
i like that kind of old-fashioned radio. they do not have a playlist theirselves, but I have found your song back on a fanpage of that show:

Sans Secours: "Regatta De Blanc" [4:42] & "Meet The Morning" [3:20] = Cuts 1 & 2 ihres Albums "Reverb" (1998) *cool*

voila it is a bit of detective work but it fits.

the other one is difficult, in the beginning is too short but seems not to come from AT , it's rather GER
maybe PSR Saxony or even Antenne Bayern (would be same direction nearly) or RPR 1??
I have found out there was a football match that could have been reported on Antenne BY the other day:
http://www.transfermarkt.de/fc-bayern-m ... ht/2864699
this is not much info but it is worth a try asking Antenne Bayern if they have been broadcasting this report with the words above ("die letzten zwei").

btw Ladinian language sounds more like a mix of Romanian, Italian, Latin... I recommend the music of GANES band to get an impression. nice sounds

Thank you PFM. This is good news. Klagenfurt was received strongly at this time, so no doubt about that one.

Not so sure about Germany for the second station, however. Germany was not in sight at this time, so it seems unlikely. Anyenne Bayern was received on 103.7 at 1904, but there was no // with this on 102.9, only the Austrian station.

Your detective work is superb! Thank you so much for your help with these.
