Denmark in Kent (I was going to trim the hedge.....)

Post by daveB » 28 Jun 2019 19:34

Conditions died back a bit during the day - only sttions in the 600-700 km range from Germany were coming in. So I mowed the lawn - had a sit down/rest and planned to mow the lawn before dinner.

But checking before hand I found full RDS from Denmark on a number of frequencies - some with rock solid 0% ber. Along with a load of German stations from the Jutland peninsula.

Put of interest I checked what the magnetic loop antenna was picking up. It is only 8ft agl (2m) but Denmark was received at good RDS levels.

A nice extended tropo opening over the last couple of days. CZE was logged on the 27th arouns 10 am utc a few miles from me.
