Meteor Scatter Log 04 November 2015

Post by daveB » 05 Nov 2015 10:39

The early hours of the 4th were quite lively with lots of low level activity a small percentage of which gave RDS info. ... &omid=2414

I'm now able to record a full 8MHz bandwidth - which gives a usable 7.4 MHz over a longer period thanks to the 2TB USB 3.0 hard drive. Playback via build 1404 of SDR#.

Lots of 'fun' trying to squeeze RDS data out of marginal signals - don't forget to make use of the group analyser window to grab fragmentary data which can give a clue. Quite a few of the entries only came after replaing the same segment two or three times using slighty different start times.

This is actually a much better log than the ones I got during the actual Orionid meteor shower!
