Above are, from memory, what was received here on the evening of Wednesday, 22nd October 2014. I didn't have as much time as I would have liked during this superb lift as I had some other jobs to do and Hannah needed some attention too, so I may have missed a few. The tropo was already ongoing on the drive home from work as I picked up French chansons on 105.0 in the work car park which later on transpired to be RNE 5, so I knew conditions were good. There were a lot of signals across the band, some with good stable signals for a long time, others with slow and random fading. Certainly the best of them were 2 bars in Normal b/w on the L-1000T tuner with easy stereo.

I noticed that the 9.2 aerial was nice and directional during this tropo. 87.9 was one example where beaming SW brought in Kiss FM, whilst turning to about 160 degrees brought in France Inter from Toulouse. Both were completely separated. 103.9 was very similar with either Radio Galega or Sud Radio.

An interesting property of this lift was there was (mostly) little enhancement on the closer French signals suggesting good and proper ducting.

By the morning of the 23rd there were just a handful of long-distance signals left when I got up at 6.30 am local:

87.7 Euskadi Irratia (very weak)
87.9 France Inter
90.9 Los 40s Principales
92.7 France Musique
94.4 Euskadi Irratia
100.5 France Bleu Gascogne

By about 7.10 am the Spaniards had gone leaving just Toulouse on 87.9.
Good DX.

A nice 'christening' for your new aerial set up. I'm hoping the next couple of days will prove intgeresting as well.
