New member's first posts

Post by John Faulkner, Skegness » 22 Mar 2015 18:06

A quick reminder to all new members:

New members may experience a small delay when they make their first post. This is to keep spam to a minimum and, hopefully, prevent all spam. Spam is a problem for all groups, whether this type, Yahoo Groups, Skype, you name it. All groups have their spammers. We have taken two steps to counteract this. 1, To have all new members approved by admins. 2, to have the new member's first post moderated, but only the first post. If a second post is made before the first has been approved then that too will enter a moderation queue.

Once a new member's post has been approved, all their successive posts will appear on the forum instantly. We apologise for this initial delay, but we hope you understand that it is necessary to do this. This will ensure that all members are genuine radio-related enthusiasts.

Hi everyone this is my first posting.
Have an interest in DXTV some years ago.
Used to be active on Amateur Television on 70cm and later on 23cm.
Listen to the Pirates on 48m and MW.
Would like to get into FMDXing and have a Sony ST-SE500 that i would like to mod.
I enjoy building antennas for all bands.
Have my own website http://g6ohm.webs.com/

Hi Andy welcome to the forum regarding the Sony 500 that unfortunately is not a good one to mod I did one and was rubbish due to the two filters it uses.
The best Sonys are Sony ST-S311 ST-SE700 ST-SB920 these are easy to mod the ST-SE520 that is harder to do but ok there's also ST-SE370 and 570 all can be had for little money.

Hope this helps

Andy
