Welcome to new users

Post by Julian Hardstone »

Welcome to all new members and visitors. Günter and I politely invite all our existing members to try the new forum. and we look forward to seeing your dx posts whenever there is anything to report.

Here are a few suggestions about how to start using the forum:

There are links on all pages back to the main 'Board Index' and the Skywaves logo also links there

'User Control Panel' (top right) give you 'Options' such as your 'Profile'. I hope you will add your 'Location' so that viewers will know where your reports are coming from. You can also add an 'Avatar' which will appear beside your posts

I find 'View new posts' (top right) is a good place to start your return visit

You will probably have many questions about using the new forum, and you should start with 'FAQ' (top right); if you do not find an answer there you can post in the 'Admin' forum

John Faulkner is the site developer and you can PM (Private Message) or email him if you do not wish to post a query or suggestion. You can PM (Private Message) any member, or you can email them if they have registered an email address on the site

Please note that your first post will automatically enter the moderation queue to ensure that only genuine members can post.

I look forward to all your posts - Julian

Thanks to everyone. I have high hopes for this forum, based on the quality of the discussions on yahoo. What a friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic bunch!
