Hearing SUI 10m rptr on 34.2125

Post by Tim Bucknall » 21 Aug 2018 11:13

Dear all,
i took my new uniden ubc 3500 hilltopping during E skip
and was surprised to hear the Swiss repeater from 29.650 on 34.2125

obviously its 99% certain this is generated in the receiver. anyone else heard it?

of all the signals to generate a spurious in the rx i find it hard to believe the rptr was the strongest, there are local cbers, pagers etc

is 29mhz a weak spot with the uniden?

the similarly strong warsaw repeater on 29.680 didn't seem to generate a similar image 30 khz higher.
