But what if we DO want to offend you? ;)

I'd love to note the offsets, but Windows 7 or something in the system will not let me zoom in close. I am more interested in offsets on MW though. I'd love to try the full version of Jaguar for this but I don't know who to approach fro this.

then you must say something like "keep your lousy stinking offsets!" ;-)

Thanks John appreciate the feedback, apart from Dave I don't know how many have the capability to see these offsets/wonky tx's

I first realised the value of these offsets when TV DXing. This was probably the area of our hobby where they were of greatest use, although offsets are also very useful on the medium waves.

Using Jaguar Lite, I now see the offsets displayed in realtime via the Spector plugin. Calibration is so simple - it's just one mouse click!

heard at Kedleston Derby on Com Radio CR1 + Sharman Skyscan ant
95.7 unstable unid
96.3 unstable unid
the take off at Ked was great in most directions so i can't even guess where these 2 are from, except that they're def UK or Ireland as the rain was killing the Continental reception

and i also confirmed Chesterfield 93.4 is stable, its Bilsdale thats unstable

can anyone confirm (or refute) that suffolk 95.9 is unstable?

check this http://radiovibrations.com/dx/offset/fm-deviations.htm
http://radiovibrations.com/dx/offset/mpx-dx.htm

measuring the MPX freq doesn't work for me as UK stns are so loud that the 19khz carrier barely spends any time on its nominal freq

Interesting web pages. Good to see you are still doing this.

A few years ago, we would never have imagined that FM stations could have distinctive offsets.
