I am really sorry to hear this Tim.

It's impossible to know what to say during these times, but I will never forget how a good friend told me that we must celebrate the good times we had with those we have loved. We have a lot to be thankful for. So many happy memories. Of course there will always be good times and bad times, but there will be so many happy memories to cherish. Look back with great happiness and remember all those special moments you had.

I am not in to poetry, but I found this on the internet. I think it says it all.

WEEP NOT FOR ME
By an Unknown Author

Weep not for me though I have gone
Into that gentle night
Grieve if you will, but not for long
Upon my soul’s sweet flight

I am at peace, my soul’s at rest
There is no need for tears
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years

There is no pain, I suffer not
The fear is now all gone
Put now these things out of your thoughts
In your memory I live on

Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Please do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life

I am sorry, me too, for the death of your father, Tim.

Thank you for sharing with us this moving image: very sadly, you made me realize that (probably) I don't have any picture of me and my father doing something together (he's 84, but his mind is dissolving little by little).
