1 or 2 Tb USB 3.0 stick for £12 - its a scam

A friend of mine got a 2 TB memory stick very cheaply - and I've seen a number on Ebay for around £20.00. Sounds too good to be true... It is as when I goggled to find a seller I found a number of articles ringing alarm bells about a scam and on amazon scathing reviews. Basically the 'manufacturer' has hacked the device so it reports as being a 1TB or 2Tb device when it is only a few Gb. [A genuine 1Tb device by Kingston is £855!]
