Where on Earth is Peter (2)

Post by pe1etr » 08 Apr 2017 09:23

No, I am not in Blackpool, or indeed in the UK.

Here is a picture clue. (I am not staying at this hotel btw, but it is about 1km away)

An additional clue is I have four local FM stations with RDS, none of which are listed on fmlist.

Do a bandscan Peter. It could be useful in case there's another double-hop opening that way.

..or Ankara?

Why are the adverts in English if you're there to teach English?

Yes Nick, but I am looking for the name of a city.

Obviously a bandscan is ongoing, but due to terrible overload, lack of RDS, poor knowledge of local languages and lack of an accurate list, it is not easy to do a bandscan.

Who said I am teaching English? The products on the adverts are Scottish (Johnnie Walker) and American (Budweiser), hence being in English.

Dohuk, in Iraqi Kurdistan.

Interesting location. Can you get any Turkish or Syrian FM there?
