Jim Bacon Sp-E talk RSGB Oct 2018 and new website

Post by Chris Howles » 08 Apr 2019 21:11

A short but interesting talk on the current theories on the causes of sporadic E - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wn5as91ndG4

Jim also mentions a new website called PropQuest that he is working on which will contain his daily Es blog but also a new bit of Es prediction software once he gets it up and running. - http://www.propquest.co.uk/blog.php?date=2019-04-08

Thanks very much for the link. I have seen a previous conversation with Jim about Sporadic-E phenomena. I will certainly watch this video once I find some spare time. Good DX, Zach

i watched the 2017 one and will have my aerial halfway between H & V this year to compensate for polarisation rotation

45 degrees should be closer to the average polarisation then either H or V most of the time

Watched this the other day, VERY interesting stuff.

Anyone know if there are any jetstream map archives online going back to 2003 / 2009?
