Trans-Pacific multi-hop DX in Japan

Post by zach_m » 06 May 2018 11:32

I stumbled upon this Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wfc_G7DOaM

It appears to be a multi-hop Sporadic-E from America received in Japan. Fantastic Trans-Pacific catch!

No. It is single-hop E-skip. It's AFN Okinawa received in Kanagawa Prefecture, just south of Tokyo. Okinawa is home to a big US military presence, with 32 military bases on the island, according to Wikipedia. The distance is about 1500 km.
Good DX.
