Tropo > Norway & Denmark

Post by John Faulkner, Skegness »

Radio Lyngdal so far on 107.1. Also some very weak Danish activity.

This is a great start! The reception area suggests that this should be extending inland too!

Good DX!

Nothing here yet - I did have some Dutch about 3 hours ago...

Edit: Interesting how the map does seem to show a clear difference between the predicted tropo strengths in Norwich and Skegness despite not being too far from each other!

Nothing here yet, although German stations are starting to appear, but the forecast charts indicates the tropo should move in my direction in the next few hours.

Rangstrup here too - unusual to hear this on 102.1 as I normally get Studio Brussel or Radio 538!

After a small falling off of conditions, Norway and Denmark are lifting again! 107.1 Radio Lyngdal is now giving their PI code of FC80. Very strange, it's 10:07.

It's made it here on MS before. There is a recording on my YouTube channel. https://youtu.be/NRTxl3Xe4JM

This is pushing DX techniques to the extreme. (and I mean in a 'sad' way, )

Lots of German signals here this morning from Niedersachsen, Schleswig-Holstein and NRW as well as several from Denmark. Quite a lot of the German signals were at RDS levels.

Best DX was late yesterday evening with fair mono reception of delta radio Hamburg on 93.4, listed with 100 watts.
Good DX.
