Thats some amazing distances. Nothing to the east from here, the best I can do is Tacolneston. I am so badly positioned for the east. But I have strong Irish signals this morning..

I was told about my mistake in the chat room. I heard a promo for a programme on Lyric FM. Without checking lists, I assumed it had to be Lyric FM. It now looks like it was RTE 1 with a promo for Lyric FM. My confusion between 87.8, 97.8 - (and even 107.8!!) - yes, I know it's not good. It is just me being me. These are typos I often make. I often type in a hurry and I make lots of mistakes as a result. My life is often a blur and I am suffer from a lot of stress at times. Some even insultingly say that I have a mental illness, which I resent. Those people are no longer on my Christmas card list. It is just the product of stress and always being in a rush.

BTW - I don't actually have a Christmas card list.

I had SR P1 on 87.7 vertical and later I had SR P4 on 100.2 vertical again nothing on horizontal and this is 1395 km now my current tropo record.
Here is the video of SR P4.

I have problems with Youtube they have disabled my Radioredcat channel so I can't upload anything to there any more as I created a Gmail account and it created a new youtube channel in 2016 so I can only upload to that now makes me feel like dumping the lot

Thanks to Nick for IDing this

I would say Ireland was the strongest signals ever yesterday. I was listening to RTE1 from Clermont Carn 87.8 on the car radio whilst driving around town as if it was a local. I had the Traffic switched on for the car radio and Dublin traffic reports poped up. The conditions seemed to shift north as the day went on. Mount Leinster in the morning blotting out the local pest Cannock Chase Radio 94.0 then Clermont Carn and Truskmore during the late afternoon. At 6pm hard up against Sutton Coldfield came 92.6 RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, Truskmore, that was a first for me.

Congrats on Sweden Andy.
Your radioredcat channel is still available on YouTube, I've just checked.
Use a different browser for your radioredcat YT account, for example, if you are using Chrome for gmail, use Firefox or Opera for your radioredcat YT account. Sign into YT with your radioredcat ID and password.

I have to do the same, as my gmail has a different YT account.

@ Andrew: this will be Halmstad Oskarström and Wisby Gotland tx site both vertical. congrats!!
Halmstad is the only high-powered on 87,7. 100.2 has another P4 site but horizontal and way too far north (beyond Arctic circle). try other Gotland frequencies in time , such as 87,6 (SR P1) and Rix FM 104,4.they have local jingle IDs.

@ Tim: for your 87,9 I suggest Radio Classique St. Brieuq it is located directl at the coastline. you might check their schedule.

I had to go to Norwich yesterday afternoon and stopped on the way, just outside Wymondham. This was a random stop, not on a hill as this was not a radio trip. My partner was with me and so only a quick tune was possible while we stopped briefly for a sandwich in the car.

On her Ford Galaxy car radio, I received Sweden on 87.7 SR P1, Halmstad, 91.2 SR P2, Halmstad, 97.3 SR P4, Halmstad and 100.3 SR P4, Skovde. All fully quieting though no RDS as that requires a whacking signal. The whole band was full of Danish, Dutch, German and French.

I have barely been able to check the FM band at home over the last few days as I have deliberately concentrated on MW files, from which there was a good deal of catching up to do, but Skovde, Backefors and Halmstad were audible at RDS level on a few frequencies, not to mention Denmark and northern Germany.

here is 92,8 Rix FM Värnamo omn 106.8 MHZ from Gislaved (local ID jingle at the end)
this is a fantastic catch with 530 watts towards Germany on a frequency in use by local station!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cfVJRPmhos

the song is a filler in the ad block, while other outputs have more spots to come.
in the normal programme, they do not broadcats 90s music any longer only 2010+ chart hits

Thanks for the info PFM 100.2 is a difficult frequency due to splatter from 100.1 and 100.4 using a tuner but signal was strong enough to push trough it.
