I have this "pre-tropo low" right now.
Could be a big one the next few days. :D

20/01/2020 15:00 - on 103.3 DLF is coming through weakly (655 km) at the same time as WDR Cosmo - both fading in and out of the noise.

20:45 Nostalgie on 87.6 with pi code on horizontal aerial, and noisy BBC R2 from Holme Moss 89.3, and Klara on 90.4 with pi code on the vertical. Lille on 88.7, 94.7, and 105.2 the latter just giving full RDS

But that is 'normal' for my QTH.

Just an improvement in the usual continental scatter here.

No continental and UK scatter receive in the Ile de France since imminent event begin and this early morning i receive only strong - weak from with in France fm stations but distance environ 200 - 400km. The problem is most certainly the out door home brew antenne which can require more experiment

Bon DX

Dutch, Belgian and French 'locals' are enhanced. Only a few of the closer German stations are there - Aachen (388 km), and Langenberg (457 km) noisy and without RDS . Nothingothing from Teutoberg-Wald (560 km) which is nother good indicator fr tropo from my location.

There is nothing warranting a log entry on FMList. Hepburn's forecast is still saying we should be seeing good conditions, F5LEN's forecast seems to be predicting what we are actually getting.

Some activity now. Regular nearer German txs starting to become enhanced. Teutoburger in at PI level. BFBS Bielefeld noise free 103.0. N-Joy Braunschweig 93.0.

None of this is showing on the Mountainlake site.

More cloud forecast to roll in off the North Sea overnight so fingers crossed. It was slightly foggy late last night but the tropo was patchy to say the least.

Here in Holland, we also had recording breaking high presure. The highest high pressure since 1932. So the highest since FM was invneted. sadly, the tropo wasn't skyhigh. A bit enhanced. On thursday night a few had a short opening to Cze, that's all.
