Conditions are definitely lifting here today. Caen is often at RDS levels, stations to the north are up a bit and towards Essex/London way too, e.g.

103.6 BBC Northampton
103.7 BBC C&W up to 2 bars
104.3 BBC Radio Cymru
105.4 Capital Leicester
103.5 BBC Essex up to 3 bars w/ RDS
106.8 Rinse FM
99.8 London pirate with soul music
105.0 Uckfield FM

Hopefully this is the start of a decent lift.
Good DX.

My easyist Ireland Tx on 94.0 is, Mount Leinister is blocked by a hill at my location, however 103.4 BBC Radio Devon has been coming in all morning, not strong enough for RDS level though. Wenvoe has been stronger than usual all day too. Lets hope this is a sign of conditions lifting more.

Ireland continues to bombard me with high level signals on this very foggy morning it came down last night.

Tuning around the band I have found one of my locals gone Wire FM 107.2 19 km from here I can get that on a wet piece of string usually so that has revealed Signal 107 107.1 and oh dear Heart Wales 107.3.
Wire FM is fine on the homebrew aerial just not on the vertical and it was there last night so it's one of the quirks of the band here.

Edit: There's a few more locals that are down Piece FM 90.1 has gone and a few more suffering go on Ireland keep it up lol.

More weird stuff going on Wirral Radio 92.1 28 km line of sight and I am beaming at it has dropped into the noise usually it's solid with full RDS.

Fog can sometimes be to blame for this as the stations affected are at near sea level and me at 126 m ASL so if layers are being created can trap the signals at lower levels weakening at high levels.
I do get this with Sutton Coldfield and The Wrekin at times on FM but used to get effect with analogue TV from those sites.

I am streaming Ireland via Ustream it is sometimes a bit jittery but that is down to bandwidth with the free version.

I will go missing occasionally but will leave it on a station.

I have just been in the car driving around North Birmingham and RTE from Both Clermont Carn 87.8 and 102.7 and Mount Leinister 94.0 are coming in well at the moment on the car radio.

As for some locals sounding like mush during lift conditions, I always thought that it was due to interference. For example from home my semi local BBC Radio Nottingham 103.8 Disappears into mush during slight tropo enhancement, up comes BBC C & W from Lark Stoke on 103.7 instead.

It's been a very good day for Ireland here and the band went like soup at times semi locals falling over.
Oh and Wire FM 107.2 is back to normal but Wirral FM 92.1 was in the noise on vertical but ok on horizontal as it used to be received with RDS I am wondering if their signal is being restricted in this direction or due to signal overload well I will see when Ireland drops back to flat levels.
