I have been aware of a (forecasted) tropo opening, in many directions, here in Norfolk. I got all sorts of stations, including the London stations (weak), some Dutch, Flemish and French (such as Béthune/Fresnicourt-le-Dolmen, Lille/Bouvigny, Egem, Hilversum and IJsselstein), and all the High Hunsley stations, with Capital on 105.8 cross-fading with Absolute. Most surprising is the combination of the Sutton Coldfield 250kW nationals (BBC R1 97.9, BBC R2 88.3, BBC R3 90.5, BBC R4 92.7, Classic FM 100.1), with lots of continental stations.
I will go to Clacton today, so I will tell you what I get there on the car radio. The UK Midlands stations can act as channel blockers (e.g. BBC R1 Sutton Coldfield blocks out VRT Radio 2 Limburg from Genk), so I will get less midlands stations there hopefully.
