It's very very rare for me to get anything from Ireland but all the RTE stations late afternoon / mid evening were coming in reasonably well from Mullaghanish and Mount Leinster on a vertical dipole on the patio , plus the 50kw Kippure tx relaying Lyric FM :- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JQzGIb8__4

Good signals from Brest locals this evening with some personal firsts, but I won't be DXing. Too tired after a long day and several nights not sleeping very well.

Good DX!

I Had many strong signals from mostly Germany yesterday ; also Luxembourg and French rare signals here.
Had also BBC Mendip 95.5 for the first time but without RDS (en if 42dB strong), among many GB strong signals...

Hope that today will be good too :P

I had France and Ireland yesterday, but didn't have the time to monitor all day. Took the Tecsun to Bath and could hear Absolute from London on 105.8 and 88.0 from France. Absolute was actually coming in quite clear if standing in the right spot, just on the radio on my mp3 player.

This morning I have Holland, London, Ireland and France so far.

I switched to V dipole now and I am getting many low powered signal from North France. I.e. 93.3 Rire et Chansons from Boulogne-sur-Mer 500W@176km. Also many signals on BOB but too weak to identify!

Does no one else revisit SDR files for this kind of thing?
Pulled out a weak RMC Rouen on 87.7 which is new for me

I would if I kept old SDR files for this purpose. As it is, I save the occasional file if they are worth saving. I have all of the Israeli FM opening from 2017, plus a few other files here and there.

Free online storage is a problem in the west. Over in the east, they cannot give enough of the stuff away. I have no idea why this should be.

At the moment, I have found the best online storage to be Mega. Visit mega.nz. You have 15 GB, free! No problem with multiple accounts either. Didn't we have a thread about the best free online storage sites? We need to keep up to date with the latest info on this. I will see if I can find that thread and add a few bits to it.

I don't have as many exotics to save as you, I can easily store every lift on an external hd :D

That is where I fall down. I do not have the external drive space. All my drives, internal and external are full or in use for 'live' openings. :)

i'm having a re-do of all last years opening which for obvious reasons i couldn't focus on at the time

i keep everything on the computer until i've listened then i just keep highlights on external HD

went back to Au E opening of 16.6.17 and got a new Russian on 87.6

20th oct looks promising but massive wide file won't play back without stuttering til i delete some stuff so i jumped to
...
21 oct nothing new , can be discarded now
23 oct Tropo to cork, can be discarded now

next 24/10...
