Hopefully it will come your way soon.

Listening to RTV Hollands Midden ion 107.4 from Ter Aar. A personal first for me. Midvliet FMf from Leidschendam was in on 107.2 a few moments ago.

The biggest signals here at the moment are from Ijsselstein and Rotterdam. My antenna is currently vertical. Are you using horizontal? You need vertical for most Dutch transmitters.

I see these conditions are also reaching Kent (looking at the FM logbook) but nothing here - yet.
Good DX.

107.0 has classical music. I found an internet parallel! This turns out to be Hofstreek FM. 50 watts from a rather interestingly named location: Grand Cafe De Kroon, Markelo!

Better still. 40 watt SLOS Radio from Steenbergen is now present on 107.4. I just recorded a nice jingle ID between tracks, but the audio has a bad warbling problem. The music keeps speeding up and slowing down. I guess it's all automated and something has gone wrong in the studio. This is third Dutch local station I have heard this evening doing this. Is it a new craze?

// Edit - it's the FDM-S2! All stations are doing this. Never had this bug before. I am going to go back to an older version of the software.

Linq FM coming in now on 106.9 from Hellevoetsluis. Makes a nice change from Lincs FM.

That's a shame Chris.

Another Chris, i.e. Chris Thatcher visited me today. We had excellent stereo reception of many Dutch signals around 1800. Things have improved further now the sun has gone down. I am hoping Chris posts here as I am curious if this is reaching inland to Lincoln.

Been getting some Dutch DAB reception here in London - Oost-Noord NL on 6B has been constant for several hours. Also the Norfolk mux on 10B is a good signal as is the Cambridge Minimux on 7D.

This is my list of DAB Multiplexes that I normally receive.
5A 174.928
5B 176.640
5C 178.352
5D 180.064
6A 181.936
6B 183.648 - Oost-Noord NL (Lift Conditions)
6C 185.360
6D 187.072
7A 188.928
7B 190.640
7C 192.352
7D 194.064 - Cambridge Minimux (Lift Conditions)
8A 195.936
8B 197.648
8C 199.360
8D 201.072
9A 202.928 - Trial London Minimux
9B 204.640
9C 206.352
9D 208.064
10A 209.936
10B 211.648 - Norfolk (Lift Conditions)
10C 213.360 - Surrey & N Sussex
10D 215.072 - Herts Beds & Bucks
11A 216.928 - SDL National
11B 218.640 - London 3
11C 220.352 - Kent
11D 222.064 - D1 National
12A 223.936 - London 2
12B 225.648 - BBC National
12C 227.360 - London 1
12D 229.072 - Essex
13A 230.748
13B 232.496
13C 234.208
13D 235.776
13E 237.448
13F 239.200
Not bad for just a dipole aerial.

The congestion on the FM band here in London from the pirates and the multiple BBC and commercial stations from counties outside of London, just means that Band II has become almost unusable for DX,ing purposes. So I am seriously thinking of concentrating more on DAB reception rather than Band II. In the past I've had German, Dutch, Belgium and Danish muxs on just a dipole, so maybe a couple of phased 5 ele beams will improve matters even more... when I have finished re-wiring the shack, I'll look into getting a couple of Band III beams. :D

It's still going strong here on Band 2 this morning with signals going into Germany. I only had a chance for a quick scan but got the following with RDS:

WDR 5 - 88.8
WDR 4 - 95.1
Dif Kult - 96.5
WDR 4 - 101.3
WDR Cosmo - 103.3
1Live - 106.7

I also picked up WDR 5 again on 90.6 but the signal was not strong enough for RDS. There was plenty more out there with fainter signals and some were strong enough to be only .1 away from the likes of Radio 1 etc.

Heard a Dutch language station on 87.7 on the way to work early this morning. Maybe Radio 10 from Holland @ almost 115 kW according to FM List which I think is a possibility. Not a strong signal but could just about hear it.

Unusually I've had a handful of Belgian & Dutch stations here- my location isn't favourable, being completely shielded by the New Forest plateau to the east, and my aerial points to the south. Not a thing from France though, even Caen & Cherbourg. Must have been massive for anyone in a better position.
Setup:

5 element roof mounted south facing
Vertical dipole loft mounted
4 element DAB towards Mendip
Sony STSB920 (unmodified)
RTL2832 SDR (SDR# and SDR-j)

Very well possible, their Tx is quite directional to the west

Dutch tropo building again here on the east coast. Nothing particularly strong yet, but the regular transmitters are reaching S9+20dB.

I'll post a fresh alert for today if it improves.
