R1 carrier 49.739 just been in
Denon TU-1500RD, Kenwood KT-3080, Rotel RT-955, Icom IC-R7100
Triax FM5, K6STI 5 el (HS Pubs), FM dipole vert, 48- 82MHz dipole horz

08115 UTC - OIRT Band starting to open up
SDRPlay, AirSpyMini, RTL dongles, SB920s, Yamaha TX930. 5 ele compact yagi on rotator at 18ft agl. FM5 facing east, FM5 facing south, FM3 facing NE, OIRT dipole, 3-ele Moxon vertical facing east.

Not sure as I had to go out at 9.40 when it was still going on R2 but no R1 or R3... just got back in and dead as a dodo now.

R1 carriers quite strong the last 5 mins or so between 736 - 743

Band 1 carriers in here L'viv 49.739 and 49.750 in as well weak though at the moment.

Several carriers in here now and some producing weak video two carriers on 49.739 one is MR Wibble (5 kanal ) with it's wobbly carrier 49.750 ST Petersburg and 49.760 1 TV Nyandoma.

Here is a screenshot of band 1 carriers and between 49.755 - 49.760 looks like a very unstable TX it faded out when conditions dropped.

So looking at the map do you reckon it was a more distant TX via multi-hop or whatever?

Band 1 came up around 19:20 and excellent video from Russia 1 from Glubokoye and Moscow 49.747 is also very strong now along with others.
6 M is active along with OIRT.

Thanks yes the dipole is horizontal and it's 38 years old bought two of them in 1980 and band 1 is still going as I type ST Petersburg 49.750 and Moscow 49.747.
