Tropo 04/05/18, & maybe bank holiday weekend?

Post by sleeper77 » 04 May 2018 15:00

Getting average fair enhancement of northern France including the lower powered relays & stations.

I know the Hepburn maps are not very reliable, but it is suggesting we might have more enhancement over the bank holiday.

Considering the Hepburn maps have been doing their usual downgrading thing over the last few days regarding this tropo I'm not going to hold my breath. The same thing happened last month, with the initial suggestion of tropo to Poland/Sweden/Denmark dwindling away to short-range tropo by the time it actually happened.

We'll see.
Good DX.

Variable conditions of the usual northern France & west Belgium stations today Sunday. Very random. Best tropo I have heard for a few months here though.

According to the Transmission Zero website where I get information about FM pirates, 99.7 could be Flex FM, 88.4 Vision Radio UK, nothing for 93.0 but it might be 92.9 which is also unknown, 93.8 must be Vibes FM.

Nothing going about today. Yesterday Monday conditions were very variable again same as Sunday, with the only exception being London was a bit more enhanced although just the regulars (BBC London, LBC, etc...)

I noticed some good signals from Caen & Rennes with easy RDS whilst tuning the band during E-skip about 3 hours ago.
