Just outdoors in Birmingham walking to work with my Roberts pocket DAB radio, headphone lead as antenna, I got:-
Block 10C: 213.360 MHz - Surrey & North Sussex
Block 10D: 215.072 MHz - Herts Beds & Bucks
Block 12C: 227.360 MHz - London 1
Block 12A: 223.936 MHz - London 2
Block 11B: 218.640 MHz - Wolverhampton & Shropshire is struggling with interference so i guess London 3 is trying to get through.
Also while standing on Burton on Trent railway station platform on my way to work this morning I got 104.2 Radio Kent (East Kent, Swingate transmitter)
the presenter was apologizing for the poor reception today due to atmospherics. Listeners were advised to try Freeview or DAB. Well the reception was good in the North Midlands.
1 hour ago the powerful Holme Moss Tx Radio 4 93.7 was replaced by Havefordwest Radio Cymru!

but lift conditions extended up to 2mtrs ham band.
i made contact with a few irish stations, later on working into france on just fm simplex.
most of europe was also present.
just sat listening a portable station over stoke way, he is working all over europe, from a highspot, and is complaining hat french stations ae wiping him out there that strong.

Got up this morning late worn out due to yesterday lol anyway Belgium/Holland and Germany booming in then a catalogue of disasters my tuner camera wasn't working DAB player received 6 B then it decided not to work anymore so after faffing about with it I got it working but wiped the memory doh!.
Then my PC froze up never done that before so felt like going back to bed and then getting out the right side
Signals began to drop about 1 pm and I had to go out now only a few bit's left now a very good opening though nice of my locals to give way to DX.

Last night I had many new GB FM signals, many with RDS (Photos to come) !
Had also Freeview from Oxford and Crystal Palace for the first time.
This morning I had Belgium, Luxembourg and German stations with high levels. I have recorded a particuliarly one hour stable "SR 1" on 88.0 MHz.
Actually Rowridge and Wrotham are is still strong.

Bah. Missed the lot- stuck at work for the last 2 days inside a large Faraday cage. Looking forward to seeing your log, Sylvestre. Actually seeing as Rowridge is on the Isle of Wight, this article from a few years ago in the Isle of Wight County Press newpaper may interest you- can you see France from the Isle of Wight? Given the additional height of the Rowridge mast, I think you'd stand a fair chance if you were at the top.

I finished about 1230 today and I went to work. Actually, when I was about to leave Germans were strong. I don't remember cities, but Western part of Germany, near the Belgian border, was very active. I did log everything on FM List. As far as I remember, I haven't got anything further than 700 kms. Good DX!

Yes here is 126 m ASL with a good take off from all round except my NW which has a hill in the way the drawback is the higher you go the more unwanted stations you receive but DX does find it's way through hard work but worth it.

At 06:05 on Wednesday 01/11/2017 I received, (amongst many other European DAB Ensembles):
8B SMC D03 BE-FR
Due to the Ensemble name, I incorrectly assumed this to be a Wallonie Belgian Ensemble that I had not received before.

Note: The station on (31st) 98.60 was definitely France Culture however it seems very unlikely to be from a 250w transmitter at 894 km (nr Lyon). I'm guessing either the power level recorded is incorrect on FML or there is another higher powered/closer TX on this frequency that is broadcasting France Culture.

Thanks Zach. Those transmitters in Spain are on the north coast, much further along than the Pyrenees. The path is across the Bay of Biscay, Brittany and then the English Channel before reaching the UK. In theory Spain should be possible at your location with your setup but you would need very good tropo. Never say never though!
