Flag - earthing the screen?

Post by pnoelw » 24 Oct 2019 07:12

I shall at last be asembling my flag antenna for the first time next week. I wondered whether I should be earthing the screen of the coax at the antenna?

Never tried that, but no earth necessary. You might be thinking of the ewe antenna. The ewe antenna had a slightly different design and both ends were earthed, but the directivity was not so good on the ewe.
