Is that WNAM Neenah-Menasha I hear behind CFMB on 1280 at 0100?

Two North Americans in the splatter on 1150 at 0100. One quite a decent signal. Can't dig out either too well, but the dominant YL talker doesn't ID on the hour.

WMVP has been coming in most days for the past week or so here as well as a Latin which I haven't been able to get an ID on.
Nothing here on 1150 at 0100
1280, I just had Radio Super Tupi come above CFMB a few minutes after 0100

But mainly have to agree with David, although there have been a few days with slightly better conditions it is nothing like it should be at this time of year.

I'm not sure if the published offsets are correct, but mine seems a bit low at 999.989. Jaguar suggests ZYK522 Radio Record, which if it is really 200kw is a possibility.

Sounds like a definite pissabolity. Just for the record (that pun wasn't actually intended!) I see your carrier here, but it's not at audio level. I have it at 999.9824. There's another, even weaker carrier, at 999.9949. Then there are three other very vague traces.

no recordings here for a wee while as believe it or not due to some extreme frost the wire on the beverages snapped in several places and the ferrite on the 320 deg bev cracked !!!! and rather than just joining the wire together i took them down and ordered some more wire , now i am sure conditions will get better as i wait lol , David

There's no doubt about that David. Thanks for the tip! Hey, if we all say we're not going to record, and then we all record, conditions should be amazing!!

If anybody is looking for a CFRA 580 ID, I caught a nice one at 03:05:03 this morning. CFRA has been quite a regular one this season as it's outside my main noise band, however, like many other North America stations this season, they have obviously been programmed to fade out on the top of the hour, every hour. CFRA carry a lot of "CTV" IDs too which is worth noting.

Good DX!

Eastern propagation this evening. India 1071 kHz & China 1521 kHz with fair signals. Yesterday & day before Africa 917 kHz Nigeria & 1440 kHz also presumed Nigeria were heard quite well.

Interesting mix on 1370 now available at the side of BBC R Lincsolnshire's closedown announcement splatter. WDEA is in there with adult standards, plus a talker, which I don't think is WXXI, maybe WFEA? But there is also another music station in there, with adult standards format or similar , nostalgia or oldies. Could be KDTH, but again, not sure.

1370 will be VERY interesting when it's less splattery.

Nice ID just heard on WDEA as I typed there!

All these stations have accessible web streams too.

Could be an interesting morning. NOOOO - I didn't say that. ;)

Good DX!

Something interesting on 1380 around 0530-0550. Not bad peaks. A lively Latin station.

There's a very lively ID at 05:35:07. I can't make it out. The signal fades nicely for an apparent ID at 05:44:25. Maybe somebody can dig something out.

The offset makes this interesting at 1579.9954.

John, the Latin on 1380 wasn't coming in for me on Sunday, but at 04:56 this morning I had a very nice set of IDs from Radio Vida, Bogota on the same offset as mentioned by you.
A new one for me, anyway. Simon

Damn! I meant 1580. What is wrong with my typing fingers?

Looks like you might have mentioned who this station could be. Will check again.

The overnight blowout really lifted North Americans around 0100. Haven't checked the recording yet but will post back if anything interesting appears. I know 1300 WOOD Grand Rapids MI was coming in well at times.

Ah. And I totally ignored the fact that you had put 1580 on your offset ! The carrier is there for me, but no audio, I'm afraid. Mucho splatter.

Been good to East Coast last two nights. I would not have believed how well a short sloper could bring in NA DX if I wasn't the dxer!

Here's how Newstalk 1010 was sounding yesterday morning in western Scouselands on a sloper! The sloper details are here https://www.sotabeams.co.uk/content/Usi ... yfarer.pdf and the video is here https://youtu.be/h2MCXF_OUh8

Impressive! WINS was very weak and below my noise (but you could tell something was there!) yesterday morning. It started to fade after 0530.
