Tip 22/11

Post by simbeav » 22 Nov 2017 12:06

0459 1560 Panama "La voz de la Esperanza" ID - I think that I have only received the English "Voice of Prophecy" ID on this one before.

And I seem to remember somebdy asking about Peruvians some time back - Radio Capital on 1470 gave a good ID at 05:32

Thank you for the tips Simon.

I have been rebuilding my flag from scratcc, starting yesterday with a new length of feeder and I re-wired the transformer. All connections are soldered and the coax is now one unbroken length. I will do the wire and resistor circuit tomorrow.

I had two clear carriers on 1560 between 0500 - 0530. 1560.0006 is WFME. There was a weaker carrier on 1559.9964 which I presume is Panama (Jaguar hints that it might be!) and a third, barely reaching audio level at 0517, on 1559.9930. Do you still have your recording Simon?

Thanks.

Any ideas who this is on 1570 at 0600? Sounds like an ID. Sounds too lively to be religious though.

John - I have exactly the same as you at 0600 on 1570. I was listening remotely earlier on poor headphones and thought I may be able to make it out when I got home, but am still as puzzled as you. There is also a possible ID at 05:58'27 "...Radio..."

As for 1560, now I have a proper listen, the English programme, "Voice of Prophecy was on later - I heard this at 05:16

You can hear vop.com at 19 seconds

Sorry the Voz de la Esperanza ID doesn't come out too well on the recording and is definitely a headphone job, but I can definitely hear it at 10 seconds

The .9930 carrier reached peak for me 0524, but no audio.

Hi John, I agree with Simon that there is a "Voz de la Esperanza" ID in your recording at 0:13 to be exact. It's weak, but it's there. Great catch!

The one on 1570 is Radio Bethel (typical mention of "Bethel" at 8 seconds).

Thank you Simon. 100% !!! I have exactly the same audio on 1570 at that time. Slightly weaker here though. https://youtu.be/B13IliCzZt8

Yikes! I didn't realise this was Panama! For some reason my brain was thinking this was something else less exotic. My first reception of Panama on medium wave!

// Forget that, I forgot I'd had Radio Avivamiento on 1530.
