Hello Mark.

Welcome to the new forum! Nice to see you here. Not long now for those Es. Will there be an improvement on last season though?

You haven't missed much on the medium wave side. The next winter season should be better.

It's up to you which group you use Mark. The reason this forum was started was because of the large number of complaints we had about the failings of the Yahoo Groups system which had been going through a rough time. It was felt that we should move to something more reliable. Some Yahoo users did not have any problems though.

On the preference side, some prefer the simplicity of Yahoo. Others prefer the more structured bulletin board approach. I had a stack of problems with Yahoo and so moved to this group, but I miss the simplicity of Yahoo. Problem I have is that I really can't be bothered to post the same message twice all the time, especially as I collate all my loggings and re-post them to my blog, then back up the totals to my website, so I have more than enough to keep me busy.

Welcome, Mark.

Nowt wrong with ham radio, used to be very active on there (2/6/10/15/20m) and still listen a lot on those bands now (in addition to Band 2) after a few years away from the hobby altogether.

Last years Es season was schoite, hope this one is better. Some promising early signs on the lower bands on Sunday and today.

Apparently Algeria was reported on Band 2 via Es yesterday so keep an eye (and ear) on the band...
