Hello from Sussex!

Post by maxdx » 06 Jun 2018 21:03

Hi,

My names Max and I live in Bexhill, East Sussex. I've been looking at the forums for a while now and thought it was time to sign up.

My current set up is a Sony XDR-S10HDip with a 3 element horizontal beam in the loft facing east. I did have a 5 element beam but it took up a lot of space and it was a but too directional for my liking. Having a loft aerial has it's positives as I can move the aerial around now and again. Maybe one day I'll get an aerial put up on the chimney :D

Being where I am I get a lot of French stations under flat conditiona along with some of the stations from Egem. Due to this I'll try and pick the more unusual ones when scanning!

Hi Max,

Ohhh, East Sussex! 95.00 BBC Sussex from Newhaven visited here today via tropo! First time BTW! Welcome to the forum. A good time to join in. The Sporadic-E season has just started so this forum will certainly get more visitors. Egem is a regular at QTH via tropo. The other day, when Mike Fallon posted a link to his SpyServer, I did a bandscan and I amazed by the number of French stations present there! Yet again welcome and Good DX, Zach.
