Can't Receive Anything

Post by chillaustin » 30 Nov 2018 22:48

I have a RCA 20-mile bunny ears set up about 10 feet high in my bedroom. But for some reason I cannot receive any television stations with it. I live in Havana, Arkansas, U.S.A btw

That’s because you need a television - not a rabbit.

20 mile bunny ears? Maybe I read that wrong. What band are you watching on? The old VHF channels? Because there's nothing left down there. Hasn't everything gone digital/UHF over there by now?

Very nice, but far too much forward gain - I expect the front-to-back ratio is a bit on the large side as well.

I wonder what the forward gain and front back ratio will be for this pair of juggler antennes and i think the side lobes can be very good also

I like side lobes as well as a good front to back ratio. Gives me much more of a personal enhancement. (Nicely avoids bringing the word "erection" into things. Phew!) No need for a pre-amp I suspect. The results should be very satisfying without.

I wonder if there is a way I can give this a thorough trial before buying, or have I gone too far now?

Oh look. there's even a Slim Jim for the ladies!

(Sorry Catherine. You must be thoroughly disgusted with all this laddishness.)

Crikey, I wasn't expecting that when I opened this thread!

The first pic reminds me of Ariana Grande's 'Dangerous Woman' era.

I had never heard of Ariana Grande until last year and that dreadful day in Manchester. But I detest the pop charts with a passion.

I can't stand modern music - it's so bland and who the hell is Ariana Grande.

I'm stuck in the 1950's, 60's and 70's the best 3 decades there has ever been for music. Reading some of the comments on 60's YouTube videos, I was very surprised that even some young people feel the same about modern music - many wished that they had been around in the 1960's.

This thread is so far off topic now, I blame satnipper - "That’s because you need a television - not a rabbit".

Here in France we have many talent shows competing for french audience for the young , The Voice, The Voice Kids, The Voice la plus belle voix, Nouvelle Star, La France a un incroyable talent  (buerk), also many more i cannot remember. I always believe these young artists are made/fabricated by the creators for these shows for there own benefit but cannot confirm. But true European and french music is much better from the 60s/70s & debut 80' period because artists played real instruments and not rely for computer fabricated sounds along with kareoke.

Vive la musique les années 60s,70s,80s
