Cyrillic alphabet for Id'ing TV logos

easy bit first. these 6 letters are the same as in our alphabet: KOMETA

I'm going to use the Russian version of Cyrillic in these posts.
as the Ukrainian one is close enough for our purposes except they also use our letter "I".

as strange as it might look to us the Cyrillic alphabet is actually very well suited to the sounds of the Slavic language and very efficient
my favourite example is the sound "shch" as in pushchair we need 4 letters to make this sound Cyrillic only needs 1 "щ"
cool huh?

for our purposes you can mostly ignore the 2 signs (hardening sound + softening sign)

as well as printed forms you will see the handwritten versions used in tv adverts and company logos

beware of the handwritten version of T which looks a lot like m

Thanks Tim for posting this very interesting will peruse the site and see if I can learn Russian but I wouldn't put money that happening though.
