Band 3 TV 2016?
What's left in Europe and North Africa if anything? I know the MUF doesn't get up to B3 that often but it does happen occasionally and its good to be prepared (yes I was in the Cubs!). I remember getting Tunisian TV on E5 on a 13 element in the loft back in June 1988. Gary Smith also received this on E5 and E7 along with Libya on FUBK test card on E6.

Thanks Dave. I'm not that familiar with navigating my way around FM list, I did look but could only find info for Band 1 and 2 TV TXs.

ahh I don't have an account with FM list, I only ever use it for looking up PI codes I didn't realise there was extra stuff if you signed up

Ah right well there is a great lot of info if you sign up so well worth doing.
When I started FM-DX in 2011 I was writing my logs (oh dear) and then John pointed me to FMlist I joined and never looked back.

Re: Band 3 TV 2016?
FM List is a hugely useful tool for DXers.
It may not seem so straight-forward when you first set eyes on it, but after using it for a few days it became second nature. I'm more of a keyboard operator than a mouse operator. Using the keyboard I find I can whiz through log entry.
Let's not forget MW List too. The Visual Logbook on both these platforms is such a help to other DXers too.
Decide how you want to store your logs too. On FM List I have separate logbooks for each mode of propagation. I 'sort of' regret doing that now, but it does have advantages.

Re: Band 3 TV 2016?
I will be staying in the South of Gran Canaria come two weeks today and intend taking along a minimum of a fm dipole atleast along with a XDR F1HD but would it be worth trying for Band 3 tv reception or have all african countries moved over to digital ? If yes then perhaps the fairhaven RD500 could be used as it has in its design a separate tuner section for the tv bands as well as video output connection & and son for tv monitoring .
