RUS Analogue TV Shutdown Started

Victor reports:

3 Dec RTRS has switched off all analog channels in test Tver region
except 4 in Tver (6, 10, 26, 49).
Probably till 10 Dec text on the screen

It was good while it lasted.

I haven't done TV DX for a few years. I loved to detect the carriers with my Icom PCR1000, fed through to SpectrumLab. Happy memories. Sadly now gone. :(

This is sad news but was expecting it and Glubokoye 49.757 was in with video a bit ago and 49.750 St Petersburg is in now at carrier level.
I do see these and Sovestk 49.739 with it's wobbly carrier daily but not seen any from UKR so presume they have gone off.

So is there any indication of how long will FM broadcasts last on the OIRT band???
SDRPlay, AirSpyMini, RTL dongles, SB920s, Yamaha TX930. 5 ele compact yagi on rotator at 18ft agl. FM5 facing east, FM5 facing south, FM3 facing NE, OIRT dipole, 3-ele Moxon vertical facing east.

No reason to believe oirt FM will go soon, new txs being opened.

Glad Kaliningrad will be on band 3 for quadrantids shower, I might try my luck..

Yeah, analogue TV dx will be a history :/ and also TV sound DX. Since I'm dxing from 2016, I have cought one analogue TV sound signal from Stavropol/RTPS Grushevyi - 1806 km: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-Mhnp-9OMw

i can't get at my magazines right now but little stations are popping up on oirt all over russia & ukraine even as others are closing its pretty random no obvious trend
theres a new lithuanian too, presumably targeting poor and elderly folks

Indeed, but not so new transmitter. The OIRT FM low poer transmitter is located in Southern Lithuania. FM99 70,04 MHz https://fmscan.org/net.php?r=f&m=m&itu=LTU&pxf=FM99

According SpyServer in Moscow and Vladivostok the Band I is still active.

i made some sdr recordings of vologda and proletary tv carriers, is there a way to recover the video during playback?
