Eight Ukrainian radio stations to broadcast to the annexed Crimea

Post by Tim Bucknall » 14 Jul 2018 16:22

i'm too far west for these but John may hear them:
Radio Hayat & Meydan Radiosi are stations for the Tatars

"Based on a temporary broadcasting agreement, eight radio stations in the mainland of Ukraine will cover the entire south of Kherson and the administrative border with the Crimea, according to a Facebook post on July 11 by Serhiy Kostynskyi, a member of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine.

According to Kostynskyi, “an information security border will be created in the nearest future, which will cover almost every region bordering Crimea with Ukrainian broadcasting.” He emphasized that three out of eight radio stations will start broadcasting to the north of the Crimea in the FM-band: Army FM, Radio Hayat and Radio NV.

He has also listed all the stations that received broadcast permission in the south of the Kherson region: Army FM in Chonhar, Chaplynka and Skadovsk; Radio NV in Chonhar and Chaplynka; Hit FM, Radio Roks and Kiss FM Ukraine in Henichesk; Meydan Radiosi in Lazurne, Chaplynka and Novotroitske; Radio Krym Realii in Chaplynka; and Radio Hayat in Chonhar and Chaplynka.

The National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine earlier reported that Ukrainian TV and radio would broadcast to Crimean territory from two towers in the Kherson region: Chonhar and Chaplynka. Russian authorities of the peninsula have repeatedly threatened to jam the Ukrainian broadcast signals.

International organizations recognized the annexation of the Crimea as illegal and condemned the actions of Russia. Western countries have implemented a number of economic sanctions. "

I have received RADIO MEYDAN FM shortly:

They are currently using 90.8 MHz from Henichesk and 101.4 MHz from Chonhar=Chongar, both Khersonska oblast as well as 102.7 FM for Simferopol, Republic of Crimea. Radio Meydan is broadcasting in three languages: Crimea-tatarian, Ukrainian and Russian. Meydan FM (qirimtatar milliy radiosi = pershe krymskotatarske radio) is the first Crimea-tatarian language radio station broadcasting across the country.

In 2017, I have gotten hold of ARMIYA FM:

They are operated by the National Armed Forces and also broadcast in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
