Wanted: FMLIST Ireland editor

Post by Günter Lorenz » 15 Mar 2015 18:23

Anyone interested to help FMLIST as editor for Ireland?
I just removed some pirate stations which were last logged before 1990 ...
Tasks would be:
- syncronize with data from http://www.bai.ie/index.php/licensed-operators/
- check stations websites, FB pages, add links, streams and contact details
- handle notifications from FMLIST users
- research location details
Ideally, the person should be located in Ireland and have some knowledge and interest in the Irish radio scene.

Please contact me at glorenz@fmlist.org if you are interested. Any questions can be discussed here!

73,
Günter

Well here's a new entry for Ireland to go in FMlist:

There's a new TX for semi-national religious station Spirit FM on 90.3MHz for the town of Ennis in County Clare (I don't have any further info) :

Here is a change that has to be made to FMLIST:

Last week the frequency for this site has been changed from 107.0 to 106.4

107.000 Corran Mountain CO en Newstalk 106-108 m 0.250 D v 402 08w30/52n07 NEWSTALK 2206

http://www.newstalk.com/Are-you-in-Nagl ... -the-dial-

Also lowercase letters are now in use since last year on the RDS ID (PS):- So its now 'Newstalk' instead of 'NEWSTALK'
(radios which cannot display lowercase will of course display 'NEWSTALK' but its now actually 'Newstalk')

Another recent Newstalk frequency move: (from 107.4 to 106.0) :
http://www.newstalk.com/Are-you-in-Clon ... -the-dial-

"From Monday, March 13th, the frequency of Newstalk will change from to 106fm in Clonmel town.
Whether you’re listening to the radio at home or in the office, you will need to re-tune from tomorrow afternoon. Your car radio should automatically switch".

New FM transmitter for religious station Spirit Radio - Wexford on 94.5MHz
I presume for the town of Wexford, not the whole county!

I heard it on 94.5 at Helvick Co. Waterford this evening, their Waterford transmitter 90.1 is showing "SPIRIT" but no audio today.

another update, C1O3 relay for Macroom town in County Cork has moved up 0.2MHz from 1O3.7 to 103.9 (no longer on the same freq as the main transmitter for the north of the county).
