Was it received on Sony XDR? It sounds like it. Great catch. I had mine on a different laptop. I need to find it first :)
Hi Zach. No it was received on the RBRX Encore, which is a DSP-based receiver with adaptive noise reduction like the XDR. It was set up to make the most of very weak signals.

I look forward to listening to your recording.
Good DX.

Great to read some of you picked Poland last week! Awesome season on the whole continent:)

If some of you have recordings that may contain suspected Polish signal, don't hestitate to post. I'd be more than happy to help, as native:)

One thing at this point, this log:
>2009 98.40 POL RMF Maxxx, Szczecin/Pazim Center (ZP) peaking at 1 bar 973 km
..which I have very strong doubts about. RMF Maxxx in Szczecin is very low power station and it won't propagate so "easy".
However, it could be diffterent 'RMF' - RMF FM 120-kW power tx in Chwaszczyno, near Gdansk. Even further than Szczecin!!

Hi Nick. Thanks for your reply. I received mine on Pioneer DEH-4700MP car stereo and a loop antenna in H. Here is the recording:

The distance is 1164km. I catched mine between 2343-2346 UTC. Recording was finished at 2346 UTC. Good DX!

Wow that is an amazing recording considering you were using an indoor aerial. You must have been right in the middle of the duct.

I'd love to get a tropo opening into Poland that produces solid signals with RDS. The opening at the beginning of October 2015 did this for DXers in the Midlands and further north but signals were much weaker down here. One day though...
Good DX.

WOW Zach Poland on an indoor aerial just excellent could do with some of that here again.

On 01/10/15 I had Poland PR 1 weak on 107.9 from Koszalin 1276 km late that evening but the following morning this is what greeted me on 107.9 PR 1 full RDS and for most of the day got many hours of recordings from that day.

Anyway well done again.

Thanks, Nick and Andy. Without a doubt, this is my furthest tropo signal I received this year. I hope there will be more. I only began DXing in January this year, so I missed a lot. Andy, I watched your video on Youtube with PR1 from Koszalin. Great catch! Extremely strong signal with full RDS. I have seen propagation maps from October 1st, 2015 on Konrad's website and I can only imagine what was happening on FM! Good DX!
