SkywavesDX Transfer Complete!

Post by John Faulkner, Skegness » 28 Sep 2019 12:00

So far so good. Looks like skywavesdx.org could be online within the hour.

Currently uploading the database so expect to see a few errors along the way.

SkywavesDX is now back online and apparently 100% working, but please let me know if you have any problems.

It can take up to 24 hours for the site to fully propagate around the worldwide web.

I will be away until Monday, so fingers crossed everything is OK.

All looks good here! The hosting has not changed so I don't think there are any issues about propagation, but I did get a page of error notices when I submitted this post. It nevertheless uploaded correctly. Maybe I wasn't logged in correctly

Yes. That post has appeared correctly but when I hit 'Submit' I got a page with the following error message:

[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions_messenger.php on line 506: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable
[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions.php on line 1836: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [ROOT]/includes/functions.php:3268)

I suspect the same will happen with this one too.

Edit: no this went through fine.
Good DX.

Thanks Nick.

It seems making a new post produces the error. Responding to it is OK.

Nothing has changed at all, so this is a mystery.

Apart from this annoyance, it generally seems to be working.

As I posted above, I won't have time to do anything about this now until next week. I'll get in touch with phpBB and see what they have to say.

As posted elsewhere, I don't see this error message when posting. Not sure why. Thanks to all for pointing it out.

I am back now back home and will look into this shortly. Apart from this bug, the forum looks like it's functioning properly. May have to do something with the profanity filter, however. Tim. ;)

I’d like to put on record my appreciation for John and Lynton’s work.
And Lynton are you still dxing? We miss you

Good to see the website up and running again. Thanks for all the hard work.
I only wish the season was at its start and not its end.

Ah, that depends which season! :) The Es season might be at an end, but the tropo season should be about to get underway, high pressure permitting, and the medium wave season is in full swing!

Tim and Chris I’ve not done much in the way of DXing for quite a while.
Work commitments and other interests have kind of taken over sadly.
I’m pleased to see you are all still enjoying the hobby and making good use of this system.
I do drop by occasionally to see what’s going on!
