Hi everyone,

My name is Maciek (Emel), I'm a long time FM-DXer and blogger from Poland.
Wanted to share the results of my scans when I was in London in 2015.

But before that - on couple occasions throughout the years I was able to receive some of London pirates via Sporadic-E (ionospheric propagation) here in Poland, close to Warsaw.
I uploaded a complilation with the most interesting picks. Some of which are still up, some are gone - check yourself, and I hope you enjoy.

Fantastic reception! I posted to your blog but I will repeat the info here in case people do not yet know about this site: http://www.transmissionzero.co.uk/radio ... ate-radio/ I often use it for IDing London pirates as there are linked web sites here, many of which have audio streams.

This is a good base source, but I don't see it beeing updated for long time. Tere are a new pirate stations in the Air that are not on this list. In example, not so long ago I received Love Life on 108.0 and DemRadyo is no longer on 96.5 (but on 91.8). Also, 97.1 is LSR and the list is missing 92.8 Nusoul. Flex FM has been granted licence by Ofcom this summer and 99.7 was taken over by RAW UK (wich used to be on 87.5). The RAW UK has recently been shut by Police. And finally, last week a new station appeard on 87.5. It's Live FM UK.

The most actual London's pirate list, I'd say, is here: http://www.radionecks.co.uk/viewtopic.p ... =80#p17047 but is still not complete.

Maciek many congrats of your reception. I like your blog as well. Happy DX!

Now on to the main dish:)
When going for a trip to London in 2015 I was excited to be able to receive some of the pirates.
I lived in Walthamstow, near the tube/rail station and every evening almost all stations from TransmissionZero list were up! I was amazed :)
Here is the compilation of my recordings (had my laptop).

Nice!
you'll see a few London Bandscans by me on fmlist, I go mainly to London organise memorial Lunches for our few remaining Sybiracy here in London and I always take FM equipment.
the North London reception was normally logged in the lovely public park outside the Anglo-Belarusian Society in Islington before i attended their Kupalle celebrations.

Thanks, that's a very noble thing you do, Tim.

One more compilation I recorded in London in 2015: Pirate's IDs
-please note most of them saying they are an online radiostation, totally oblivious or contrary to being pirates.

Thanks Maciej
yes this is the latest strategy so pirates can pretend they're just internet stations and have no idea who is relaying them on FM ;-)

i have no idea if this works in a court of law!
