bank holiday broadcast

Post by David Taylor » 20 Apr 2017 09:58

Hi to everyone interested,
I've been tuning around over the Easter Bank holiday and noticed quite a few pirates heard on fm. These include the following
87.5 Radio Caroline North
87.5 MAR
87.5 Radio Northsea International
87.5 CAR
87.7 Skyline FM
100.8 The Voice Of Peace
All of these were heard over the four day period during Easter. I wonder if anyone else heard these or other pirates during the bank holiday

Welcome to the forum David yes I hear all those pirates I am located near Wigan,MAR is also on 105.0/108.0 although I haven't heard them on 105.0 for some time now.
Regarding The Voice of peace 100.8 I usually get Central radio or have they changed their name I didn't hear any station ID this time.

If you are reporting Band II stations it would be useful to know the dxers QTH.

My appologise to one and all for not mentioning my QTH which is Crewe. I did not know of the existence of Central Radio and to date have not received it. The Voice Of Peace on 100.8 was on throughout the duration of the Easter Bank holiday, and this maybe the reason why.

The Voice Of Peace was putting out a live relay from Tel Aviv Israel so unless Central were putting this out this outlet or it is a another station in its own right remains a mystery.

Yes I would say that would be the most probable reason just like others that put out Radio Caroline stuff past and present anyway they may be on again on next bank holiday so will have a listen.

Legacy UK was on 87.5 and Oulton park RSL on 87.7 doh I forgot to check 100.8 as I have been busy moving my shack which is nearly done.
